Advent Calendar 2008

During November 2008, a conspiracy occurred to give Magic Rat a surprise present.

Artists that had previously created art for the site were contacted and each did several
pictures to create an advent calendar for the month of December that went on the
home page for readers and viewers, and Magic Rat, to have fun with.

The images that were shown as part of the calendar were only 100X100 pixels,
although the original images were larger than that.

Mad Hatter's Pictures

Mad Hatter drew pictures for days 3, 8, 15 and 25.
She also carved a bone tarantula for Rattie, which was shown on day 13.

                    

          

 

Animama's Pictures

Animama drew several headshots of her characters on one sheet,
as well as the banner for the 25th.

Her days were 4, 5, 10, 16, and 24.

Lazra's Pictures

Lazra created one large digital image of several of the characters from the
Lord of the Rings and Final Fantasy stories.
She then created head shots of the characters for the calendar itself.

These pictures were used for days 6, 9, 12, 17 and 23

FT 302's Pictures

FTW drew two 'group' pictures of the Metalocalypse crew,
from which head-shots were taken for days 2, 7, 14, 20 and 22.

By the way, can I have what Nathan is getting for totally-not-christmas please?

                    

          

 

WingedBullets's Pictures

WingedBullets drew a large picture for day 1,
and days 18 and 19 came from the same larger picture.

Check back for the full colour version soon.
Computer death meant that some originals were lost.

                    

 

Daga's Pictures

Daga was busy when I sent out the original requests for volunteers,
and was disappointed that she missed the 'deadline' to agree.

She wanted to pictures anyway, and these were the result.
These pictures were displayed on random days throughout December
