Charles sat at his broad, antique desk, studying his daughter’s report card. Well there was nothing to jump up and down about. He glanced at the little girl peeking at him from other side of the desk, one bit of black hair hanging in her face. “Why did you get an F in arithmetic?” asked Charles, as Nathan walked in to see what was up with his child. He sat down on the black leather sofa, saying nothing for the moment. "The teacher asked how much is 2x3, and I said 6,” said Lydia. “But that’s the right answer,” said Charles. “Yeah, I know! But then she asked me how much is 3x2.” “What's the f//guitar riff//ing difference?” growled Nathan. Lydia turned to look at her daddy, green eyes large with bewilderment. “That's what I said!” |
